Sometimes history misplaces or forgets important people who dreamed, fought, served, made changes in our lives, and affected history’s path. In Ten Who Counted, Gateway students will  introduce through story and song ten African Americans, whose contributions to society, our culture, our nation, and the world,  should be celebrated and never forgotten. Some of them achieved fame during their lifetimes, and some had goals that we are still working towards today.  Come help us celebrate these extraordinary Americans from all different walks of life in Ten Who Counted!
