Welcome to Saint Louis Public Schools!

SLPS has been educating students in Saint Louis since 1838. From its humble beginnings of two schools and 175 students, the District now has more than 60 school buildings and almost 20,000 students.

Throughout its 184 year history, SLPS has adapted and changed with the times. Currently, students have the option of attending neighborhood schools or special-themed Magnet schools.  SLPS also offers the only FREE pre-kindergarten classrooms for 3- and 4-year-old children in the region.
