Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!

I am Ms. Maher, an ESOL Math teacher here at Gateway STEM.

I am a Wisconsin native and this will be my 18th year teaching in different countries and states including Ukraine, North Carolina and New York. This is my 7th year teaching in SLPS and at Gateway! I love to camp, hike, cook, garden and travel. I am a lover of different cultures - especially the food, language and art that come along with them. 

I have two fun little ones, who are 5 and 3 years old, and they keep me very busy! 

I graduated from Purdue University with a BA in Fine Arts, am a former Peace Corps Volunteer (served in Ukraine), and completed my Master's in Teaching ESL at North Carolina State University.
