Ms. Larson teaches World History, Psychology/Sociology, and AP Psychology. This is her fourth year at Gateway STEM and her fifth year teaching overall. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History Education from Missouri State University and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Lindenwood University. Additionally, she has completed extensive graduate coursework focused on social-emotional learning and inclusive classrooms, which shapes her student-centered and trauma-informed teaching approach.
Ms. Larson's goal is to empower students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills they need to understand the world around them and their place in it. She strives to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students feel seen, valued, and challenged. By incorporating diverse resources, student choice, and real-world connections, she helps students develop the confidence to ask questions, analyze information, and apply their learning beyond the classroom.
Outside of school, Ms. Larson enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, son, and their pets. She is excited to guide her students through a meaningful and enriching academic year!
