    Teacher Message:
Welcome to AFJROTC.  Hopefully, you will be a part of our unit for the full four years you are at Gateway.  As you will see, there will be many leadership and team opportunities that will open up for you, and it is our desire that you take full advantage of them.  We offer after-school opportunities to become part of our Drill and Color Guard teams, along with other activities like Military Aircraft Model Building, among others.

I am one of the instructors for the AS1 cadets (those in their first year in AFJROTC).  I teach two subjects: Aerospace Science 100 (History of Flight) and Leadership Education (History of the Air Force and leadership qualities to be successful in life).  Uniform wear, drill and teamwork are also a large part of your learning experience this year.  I also issue and collect uniforms and all things that are related to wearing them correctly.

A great opportunity to become a part of something bigger than yourself.  We strive to fulfill our Core Values: integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do.

    Biography:
I was fortunate to spend my younger life traveling and living in many different countries (Syria, Brazil, Holland, the US, Mexico, Africa, the Philippines and others).  After spending a few years in college, I joined the Air Force and served 20 years as an aircraft mechanic and recruiter.  I have been teaching AFJROTC since 2004 and here at Gateway since 2013.  I love to SCUBA dive (since 1979) and I love to ski (snow and water) and I love to work in my wood shop making things for my grandchildren.
