YOU MUST EMAIL ME -- ADAM.REIDER@SLPS.ORG -- WITH THE SUBJECT "TEST # PREP #" FOR EACH SUBMISSION.
I WILL ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS UP TO THE MINUTE BEFORE WE TAKE THE TEST
Here’s some way to show that you do indeed either speak, write, or read in English while getting a boost to your grade:
Voice record you singing the ABCs three times in a row.
Voice record you pronouncing all the phenoms from this youtube video (DOUBLE CREDIT).
Upload a spoken draft done in preparation for a speech.
Show me a copy of what another course made you write, look at my revisions, and submit me a final draft with the revisions done.
Write a paragraph explaining how you feel about writing.
Write a paragraph explaining how you feel about speaking English inside school.
Write a paragraph explaining how you feel about speaking English outside school.
Pick a word from the "Grammar Glossary" section of my website and write 10 sentences that include that element of grammar.
Prove you are reading something by recording a summary of the text in a voice memo.
Write a paragraph about your response to one of my "Mini Lectures."
Listen to the Trolley Problem on Youtube after reading my Mini Lecture, "How to Read." Try to guess what my answer to the Trolley Problem is.
*Each test prep submission will result in the replacement of a participation grade you were absent for or didn't get a 100 percent.
*Please note I will grade these responses for quality instead of participation like I did in the daily attendance activities written on paper, spoken in class, and typed on Nearpod. Each submission done 72 hours before the test will be considered for bonus points, and, if its okay with you, will be shared anonymously with classmates as a study tool.
*For those without 100s in every participation grade the class has taken, just know you can get extra credit on tests. However, you must take enough test prep assignments to get a 100 percent in every participation grade you were absent for or failed to complete. I will give extra credit on tests to those who do enough test prep assignments. Talk with me if you're confused.
