Ms. Betsy Trapp

Hello! My name is Betsy Trapp (pronoun: she) and I am an itinerant ESOL teacher. This is my 19th year with St. Louis Public Schools! I have also served as a Special Education teacher, Instructional Coach, and Reading Specialist.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I have lived in Fort Collins, Colorado, and San Francisco, California for graduate school and work. In 2006, I returned to St. Louis to begin my teaching career.

My husband and I have an inquisitive and creative 10-year-old son. We love road trips to Wyoming to visit family where we camp and fish in the Bighorn Mountains. In my free time, I love to build Lego sets with my son and spend time with my family. I enjoy reading a variety of books, writing creatively, and crocheting simple projects.

I love to learn and I love to teach. It is a gift to work with my students. My goal is to support my students with their language development so that they are able to achieve their goals.

I look forward to working with all my ELLs this school year!
