Greetings Parents and Students,
My name is Ms. Cheryl Boesch and I am an Itinerant ESOL teacher. This means that I have the awesome privilege of traveling to different schools and bringing ESOL services to many ELLs. Every school year, I meet with English language learners one-on-one, in groups, and in their classes in collaboration with their classroom teachers. The instruction is individualized, so your child will be challenged to progress in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Some things about me: I grew up in Colorado where I learned to love the outdoors. My favorite activities are: spending time with my three extraordinary children, biking on Katy Trail, hiking and kayaking in Creve Coeur Lake. I also love to travel and meet new people and experience other cultures. One of the highlights of last year was when I traveled to Peru and worked with Food for the Hungry.
I am an enthusiastic, energetic and encouraging teacher and I am looking forward to partnering with you as we help your child thrive this year.
I have devoted over 25 years to teaching English to non-native speakers of all ages. Prior to teaching K-5 ELLs, I taught Adult ESL classes for 16 years. I have a B.A. in English from Concordia University and a M.Ed. with an emphasis in ESOL from Lindenwood University.
