Join Our Effort to Keep Our Students Safe
In the spirit of community and care, we are reaching out to seek your help in ensuring the safety of our students as they travel to and from the bus stop each day. We believe your presence can provide them with the peace of mind they need. We are excited to let you know that we are bringing back our Adopt-A-Stop program, and we'd love for you to be a part of it!How You Can Help
For the first quarter of the school year, we are looking for volunteers to be present at our city's bus stops. Whether you have a child in our District or not, you can choose a bus stop that works for you. If you do have a child in our schools, you can opt to be present at their stop. If not, you can select one near your home. We will also provide incentives to volunteers for going the extra mile.
- Morning Person? Take the early shift.
- Night Person? Stop by in the afternoons.
- Can't commit to two months? Sign up for one month.
We are flexible and want to make this fit your schedule. All we need is a small portion of your day and your presence. Take a look at the sign-up page to find a slot that works for you. If you would like to help, but can't take one of the listed slots, please contact Ryonnel Jackson to see how else you can assit.
Interested in Volunteering?
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please click here to fill out a form. We will gather the necessary information and guide you through the next steps.
The Volunteer Sign-up is only used to indicate interest for a certain time range. The final approval will be determined based upon the receipt of an approved background screen. Only approved volunteers will be assigned an adopt-a-spot location. Once assigned, volunteers will only have to be present at their assigned spot for less than an hour. Please feel free to sign-up for additional spots!! Invite your trusted friends to join you as well
Other Ways to Help
We understand that not everyone can commit to volunteering every day. If you can't participate regularly, we ask that you stay vigilant during the times students are going to and from the bus stop. A simple extra peek out the window from time to time can make a big difference. Please encourage your neighbors and friends to do the same.

It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child, and those of us in St. Louis know this to be true. We hope you will join us in demonstrating just how strong and supportive our village is. Together, we can ensure our students' safety and show our collective strength.
Thank you for considering joining us in this important work. Your involvement can make a significant impact on our community and our children's safety.
