• Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment

Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students. Every child who lives within our district has the right to a free public education, and we follow federal laws that protect all students.

Our Board of Education has officially confirmed that:

    1. Equal Access to Education – No student will be denied the opportunity to attend school or participate in school programs because of their immigration status.

    2. Privacy Protection – A student’s personal information, including their immigration status, is private and protected by federal law.

    3. School Safety and Procedures – If an outside agency (such as immigration enforcement) requests to come onto SLPS property, they must go through the Superintendent’s Office first. Schools will not allow these officials to interact with students without proper legal steps being followed.

    4. Fair and Equitable Treatment – All SLPS staff will treat students fairly, regardless of their background, race, or immigration status.

SLPS remains dedicated to ensuring that every child feels safe and supported in our schools. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s school or the SLPS district office.
