Dr. ChanTam Trinh, Director of State and Federal Programs

Dr. ChanTam Trinh is a highly experienced educator with over 22 years at Saint Louis Public Schools. She began as a math teacher at Roosevelt High School and progressed to become a Teaching and Learning Facilitator at the former Cleveland Junior Naval Academy where she worked with teachers to improve their instructional deliveries and implemented the standard based grading practices at the school. Recognized for her expertise in instruction and data driven skills, Dr. Trinh became the Director of the Advanced Placement program for the district, expanding the AP course offering and common assessments and increasing qualifying AP scores of 3 or higher. In the fall of 2013-2014 school year, she transitioned into an Assistant Principal role at Soldan International Studies High School, fostering a positive school culture. She became the head principal at Soldan when the COVID pandemic hit and held the position for three years before getting promoted into her current role as the Director of State and Federal Programs, advocating for equity and securing funding for critical initiatives. Her dedication and education excellence and creating inclusive learning environments has positively impacted numerous students and communities. With her unwavering commitment, Dr. Trinh continues to work towards building a legacy of progress and achievement.
