• Dear SLPS Families,

I am excited to share with you some information about an upcoming event targeting parents and girls ages 9-18. On Saturday, May 16, Girls in the Know will be hosting a movie, The Empowerment Project, followed by a lively panel discussion at Wydown Middle School.

This short documentary highlights ordinary women – women who were not afraid to fail while pursuing their dreams – doing extraordinary things. The movie will start at 10 a.m. and lasts for an hour; it will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by KMOV’s Emily Rau and featuring Khalia Coller, owner and general manager of the St. Louis Surge women’s basketball team.

Please see the attached flier for more details and click this link to view a trailer of the movie, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTIogIwn8U0.

Hope you’re able to attend this unique event.
