• Help Our Students Get Free Books!

    As you have surely read in this newsletter, First Book has nearly 500,000 brand-new books in a warehouse here in St. Louis. Many of these books are allocated to go to teachers, students and programs in SLPS, but we need your help! Volunteers are needed to sort, pack, label and organize these books for distribution. We are asking all employees who can -- especially Central Office staff -- to sign up for a shift in the warehouse.

    We need volunteers during the week of March 30 – April 3 to work in 4-hour shifts (8 AM – noon or 1 – 5 PM). First Book will provide water and snacks for all volunteers.
