    Schoolwide Community Service

At the core of a Metro education is service to the community, one of the fundamental principles for which Metro was established. Every student must complete 200 hours of community service to graduate. In the 2022-23 school year, the Metro team instated designated schoolwide days of service so that we may more intrinsically involve service in our identity as a school community. On schoolwide service days, students and staff go out to serve in other SLPS schools or local community organizations in the City of Saint Louis with the intention of our students transforming into compassionate leaders committed to serving others. All Metro students are required to attend and actively participate in a minimum of two schoolwide service days.
