Hi everyone!

My name is Leila Green and I am the American Government and AP US History teacher at Metro A&C. This is my fifth year teaching at Metro. I am so excited to dive back into the curriculum and continue working with such bright, talented students.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Northwestern University in Social Policy in 2017. Following graduation, I taught elementary education in Denver Public Schools for one year and then moved to St. Louis. I enrolled in graduate school, earned my Master's Degree in Secondary Ed, and began working for SLPS.

In addition to a passion for all things political, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and traveling. I spend most of my free time relaxing in my back yard with my husband and our two trouble-making dogs, Loki and Baloo. I'm a Chicago-native who now calls St. Louis her home. I love learning more about this city and sharing its history with my students.
