The 2025-2026 SLPS STEAM Fair

Dear Families,

We are excited to share that your student will be participating in the St. Louis Public Schools High School STEAM Fair during the 2025–2026 school year! The STEAM Fair gives students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, problem-solving, and innovation through a variety of projects and experiences.

Important Dates
- School STEAM Fair Date: _January 28^th, 2026________________
- Project Due Date: ____January 21^st, 2026________________
Participation
- Every high school student will select a STEAM Adventure or a traditional STEAM Fair project: STEAM Adventures may include: PLTW Capstone, Robotics, Gateway Arch Engineering Contest, or Saturday Scholars.
- Traditional STEAM Fair Projects may include: Maker Model, Engineering/Invention, Experiment, or Zoology Research.
How to Register
- All projects must be registered using the digital Microsoft Form by October 31st, 2025.

Recognition

Traditional Projects: Projects will be judged using district rubrics. Students will receive certificates based on their project rating:
- Blue Rating: 85–100
- Green Rating: 70–84
- Yellow Rating: 55–69
The top three projects from each high school will advance to the Academy of Science St. Louis Science Fair. The Academy Awards Ceremony will be held on April 25, 2026, at Webster University.

STEAM Adventures: Students will receive recognition through showcases, exhibitions, or program-specific events (such as the PLTW Senior Showcase or Robotics competitions). These are showcase-only and do not advance to the Academy of Science St. Louis Science Fair.

On November 8th, 2024, Dr. Hamilton and Mr. Perniciaro represented Metro Academic and Classical High School in Washington D.C. as Metro was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. This award is shared by the entire Metro School Community. Everyone works together to make this one of the best high schools in the country!
