Course Title Here: STEAM- Computer Science
Course Description:
Computer Science
Students will learn and apply STEAM in this Computer Science class. Creating high-quality work by learning to use different software programs. Students will reach the goal set for their grade level. All students will use Microsoft Office 365, One Note, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and, Team. The coding programs of Web page design and Basic Coding are programs from the Code.org Curriculum. Students will build and code robots through the program Spike Prime. All students will learn the fundamental and basic typing (keyboarding) skills through the program of typing club. By the end of the semester, students will have learned a variety of computer parts, use computer skills, use basic coding skills, build several different robot prototypes and coding.

Course Objectives:
Students will be able to apply different computer software programs, skills and basic coding skills to be creative and ready to perform a task.
Assignments:
Students will be graded on creativity and design of a project
Titled: “ All about Me “ using Animation design from Microsoft Word, PowerPoint /or Web design

Vocabulary test on Computer Terminology
Completion of project using basic character animation, website design, formal or informal document design
Grading Criteria:
A (100% - 90%)
B (89% - 80%)
C (79% -70%)
D (69% -60%)
