Meet the Teacher

Message from Mrs. Porter:

Welcome to my page!

Here is a little information about me:

I was raised in a small town about an hour south of St. Louis. I have lived in several states and traveled quite a bit, but have always found myself back home here in St. Louis.

This is my seventh year at Compton Drew, and I look forward to many more years here. 

I am married with three children - 24-year-old twins and a 17-year-old. 

In my free time, I love to read, cook, and attend sporting events. We have very few weekends throughout the year that are not filled with soccer, basketball, or track, but I always find time to watch football on Sundays during football season - Go Cowboys!!

I believe education is the single most important thing a person can give themselves. As a lifelong student myself, I hope to share my love of learning and encourage my students to achieve beyond their imaginations.
