I grew up in a military family, so I spent the majority of my adolescent years throughout the world. By the time I reached high school, I have lived in California, Georgia, Colorado, Texas, even Germany (for 5 years).
My family keeps me busy, especially my two daughters, Kaitlyn age 22, and Sophia age 17. When I have a chance to be by myself, I enjoy golf, and reading.
I graduated from UMSL in 2006 with a BS in Secondary Education, where I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Educational Technology. I spent my first 5 years teaching in the Mehlville School district, with another 3 teaching for the archdiocese of St. Louis. I came to SLPS in 2013. I began my SLPS journey at Langston Middle School. I was nominated for teacher of the year in 2013 and 2015. I received Project Lead the Way Certification in 2019. This is my 10th year with St. Louis Public School District, and my 16th year teaching middle school science.
