Hey, Carnahan Family, I am Tyrone Wright. I am your Basketball Coach, Track Coach, Soccer Coach, and Athletic Director. Carnahan is home to me. I graduated from here in 2017 and played multiple sports here, but my main sport has always been basketball. I went to Lincoln College after high school and played collegiate basketball there. One highlight and proud memory while at Lincoln for me was our team winning the 2020 Conference Championship. After that, I transferred to Graceland University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a Minor in Business Administration. I was awarded the Men’s Basketball Scholar Athlete Award. Now I’m back at home with my Carnahan Family! 

Some interesting facts about me. A hidden talent of mine is that I can draw. I’m a GYM rat, meaning I love to be in the gym playing basketball. My favorite movies are “He got game” and “Hard Ball”. I have a dog named Max that most of the returning students know about. I was born and raised in St. Louis. Finally, my all-time favorite basketball player is Kevin Durant. 

I’m excited about what this school year has to offer. Super excited for all the sports being offered at Carnahan, with our lady Volleyball team going undefeated last season, and our girl’s and boy’s track team doing great also. In all, let's have a great school year!
