Ms. Mariama Hargrove
Welcome, Carnahan STEAM Families!
My name is Mariama Hargrove and with over two decades in education, I am a dedicated Academic Instructional Coach with 11 years of coaching experience and a strong foundation in mathematics education. Prior to coaching, I spent 10 years in the classroom as a middle school mathematics teacher, where I honed my craft and developed a deep understanding of student learning and instructional strategies. Holding a Specialist Degree in Mathematics from Lindenwood University, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to my work, supporting teachers in creating engaging, effective learning environments. Passionate about teaching, learning, and the transformative power of education, I am committed to helping educators grow and students thrive.
Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given access to high-quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and a supportive learning environment. I view education as a collaborative journey—one where teachers are lifelong learners and students are active participants in their growth. My coaching is grounded in the belief that reflective practice, equity, and innovation are essential to transforming classrooms and unlocking student potential.
