Mrs. Barbara McNeal

I have worked at Carnahan since the day Carnahan opened its doors in 2003.  I am the Family & Community Specialist,  I have always had a desire to help students beyond the classroom. 

I have been the Building Steward since 2006.  I was the Assistant Coach for the girls track and field for 5 years, where the girls did bring home medals from the state competition. I was also the Head Coach for the boys cross country team for 2 years.  I have worn many hats during my time at Carnahan High School of the Future.

I graduated from Lincoln Senior High School and I went straight to Job Corp in Cleveland Ohio to take a trade.  I earned two trades. I earned a certificate in Office Management, and a certificate as a CNA. That was what my mother wanted me to do however, after graduation from Job Corp I enrolled at Vocational Training School and earned a certificate as a Clerk Typist/Receptionist and later enrolled at  State Community College and earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado Technical University in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Human Services, Master’s Degree in Human Services, and now to come ongoing Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Lindenwood University in Belleville Illinois.  If you need to contact me you can email me at barbara.mcneal@slps.org, or you can call me or text me 618-795-2221.
