• Miller Students Learn Real-World Skills

    Under the tutelage of Mechanics instructor Derwin Crosby, Miller Career Academy student Kayla Davis is learning to use a professional bench lathe.  This is the process by which many mechanical components such as screws, gears and other precision parts are made.  Davis uses other tools, such as the caliper and brush seen in the pictures, to craft her project.

    Below Mr. Crosby holds an aluminum bar that, after final touch-ups. could be a piece in any number of products.  Miller students get the hands-on instruction to succeed in today's work environment.
