       Timothy Johnson started as a member of the Career Academy staff in the fall of 2011 and teaches the Health Sciences Career Pathway with a focus on Sports Medicine and Patient Assisting.  As a Doctor of Chiropractic Dr. Johnson has a passion for learning about and sharing his knowledge of the human body, how to prevent injuries and disease as as well as how to treat them.  Dr. Johnson also believes in exposing students to a wide variety of health careers so students might develop a more clear idea of what they might want to pursue for a future career.  It is Dr. Johnson's goal that each student who enters his pathway experience the world of healthcare in a variety of ways which include:  hands on activities, guest speakers from the health care world, field trips, relevant films or video clips, researching the most up to date information on health related topics and more. 
     
       It is the goal of this pathway for each student to master specific skills, have a broad based knowledge of the human body and health careers, and most importantly learn to develop their own potential when they finish this course.
     
    Education:
    A life long resident of the St. Louis area, Dr. Johnson started his educational career in the St. Louis Public School from kindergarten through second grade, before moving to another area in the region.

    Experience:
     
    Dr. Johnson started a chiropractic practice in Kirkwood, MO in 1997 and continues to see patients every week.  Dr. Johnson started teaching Anatomy and Physiology in a local private high school in 2003 through the spring of 2011 that offered students college credit through Missouri Baptist University.
