Mrs. DaLila Spencer
Welcome! My name is Dalila Waheed Spencer (pronounced Da-Lee-Lah) and I am proud to be your High School English Teacher. This year I will be teaching the following: Freshman Literature, AP Composition and Literature, and African American Literature.
My passion for developing lifelong learners through high expectations, cultural inclusivity and the art and science of teaching, has led me to my 9th year of teaching English Language Arts in the city of St. Louis! A St. Louis native, I am a proud product of St. Louis Public Schools and a Metro Academic & Classical High School alumna (c/o 1997). My undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis specializes in Mass Communications & Writing, while I have studied secondary teaching instruction strategies in the graduate programs at Webster University, Lindenwood University and Fontbonne University.
Outside of the classroom, I cherish my family time and being an avid sports-mom. I love fashion, entrepreneuriship, and empowerment
