Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, I moved to St. Louis in 2000. I am married to Tulio for 31 years and have three grown children: Carlos,Anaisabel and Lina .
While raising my daughters , it gave me  the opportunity to switch my career from being a Family and E.R. physician in my hometown, to education here in the USA, since it is my other passion.Currently, I am a certified teacher in K-12 Spanish and 9-12 Biology. 
I worked as a Spanish Immersion teacher for 8 years, and I am very happy  teaching Spanish at Roosevelt High School since 2017. 

Also, I am the coordinator of the After-School Program, because I am convinced that we have to provide a safe space to our students.

Acquiring a foreign language and awareness of other cultures  provides students and young adults with advantages that will help them throughout their lifetime.
