Hello and Welcome Back Rough Rider Family!

My name is Latoya Johnston and I am the counselor for our scholars who's last name ends in the letters A-K.  I have the esteemed honor to continue my journey as a school counselor helping all students with issues that may be affecting their academics, career, and personal/social interractions. I have been with SLPS for 5 years now and have worn many hats in the district. 

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with an emphasis in Pre-Law from the outstanding, illustrious HARRIS STOWE STATE UNIVERSITY (Go Hornets!). I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling from Lindenwood University. 

On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my 4 amazing kids, singing, traveling, and dancing like no one is watching. My personal philosophy on life can be summarized by my favorite quote:
