Hey there!​

I'm Dr. Manka; my pronouns are she/her.​

This is my third year teaching in SLPS, but I have been teaching since 2004!​

Before I moved to Missouri, I taught at an alternative school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have taught almost every subject both in person and online.​

This year, on top of teaching sp.ed. math classes at RHS again, I also get the honor of assuming the role of Mathematics Department Chair.

I grew up in a small town in Northern Illinois, where I lived on a farm with my mom and my younger sister. I moved to Iowa after I finished my undergraduate degree in 2004 and lived there with my husband, our son, and our boxer dog until we all moved to Missouri in summer 2022 to be closer to family. ​

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, playing roller derby, playing and watching D&D, and spending time with my family.​​
