Hello!

I'm Ms Hughes and I'm an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher here at Carr Lane.

This is my 16th year with SLPS and my 4th year here at Carr Lane.The 8^th grade ELA course is designed to help students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.  The curriculum is focused on building a strong foundation in  English language arts, preparing students for high school and beyond.I look forward to working with your scholar!  If you desire to meet with me to discuss your scholar, I'm available daily from 7:30AM to 8:00AM.
