Ms. A. Parker

Greeting,

Welcome to Carr Lane Middle School,

My name is Annette Parker. Originally, I was from New Orleans, La. I landed in Saint Louis, Mo. homeless as a survivor of Hurricane Katrina.  Prior to the hurricane, I was employed with New Orleans Public School. There, I worked in an Alternative Middle School setting with at-risk young people for 15 years as a Quintessential Behavior Strategist Teacher. Most of the students were involved in the juvenile justice system and /or received mental health services.  There was a new challenge every day. Through these challenges, I managed to become very innovative and effective in my work. I have a better understanding and compassion for children and families, and understand the plights of disadvantaged young people.  I have a plethora of educational experience as a classroom teacher. I also possess knowledge of various cultures' values, behaviors, beliefs and traditions, in addition to demonstrating high standards of professionalism and ethics. In my leisure time I enjoy dancing, cooking, outdoor gardening, reading spiritual books, and listening to jazz music.

                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                            Annette Parker
