Miss Owen

     Welcome to my webpage! I am Miss Owen, teacher of the Deaf / Hard-of- Hearing at Carr Lane Visual and Performing Arts Middle School.  I have my Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing, with emphasis on Deaf Education, from Washington University here in St. Louis, Missouri. This is my 22nd year teaching the Deaf, from grades PreK through 12.  I am honored and privileged to have a job doing what I LOVE!

Teacher Message: Hi. I am Elizabeth Owen, teacher of the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing, grades 7 and 8, at Carr Lane VPA Middle School. I have been teaching for SLPS for 22 years.  
 
Biography: I have my bachelor's from McKendree University in Biology and Psychology, my master's degree in Deaf Education from Washington University, my education specialist degree in Administration from NOVA Southeastern University, and am finishing my doctorate soon in Curriculum and Instruction from McKendree University. I am fluent in sign language as well.  I am a lifetime certified Teacher of the Deaf, Grades K-12, in deaf education in Missouri.
