Welcome to Junior American Literature! This course is designed to take high school juniors on an enlightening journey through the diverse and dynamic landscape of American literature. From the early colonial period to contemporary voices, students will explore a wide range of genres, themes, and authors that have shaped and continue to influence the American literary tradition.

Throughout the year, students will engage with classic and modern texts, examining the historical and cultural contexts in which they were written. The course will emphasize critical reading, analytical writing, and thoughtful discussion, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the texts and the times they reflect.
