THE ARMY JROTC UNIFORM WEAR GUIDE
CLASS A & B UNIFORM ACU UNIFORM
THE FEMALE JROTC UNIFORM
Requirements
-
Hair must be off ears and collar. No ponytails.
-
Only black scrunches can be worn.
-
Scrunches must be the color of your hair.
-
Only one ring per hand can be worn.
-
Black socks or nylons (nude, beige, tan, taupe) must be worn.
-
Only one set of stud earrings can be worn that coincide with each other.
-
No flashy or excessive amount of make-up should be worn.
-
Only clear skin tones or natural colored nail polish is acceptable.
Class A
-
Rank: 1/2 inch from the edge of the shoulder seam. Arrows always point toward the collar.
-
School Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.
-
JROTC Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.
-
Star: Centered (left-right) 1/4 inch above the nametag.
-
Academic Wreath: Centered (left-right) 1/8 inch above the nametag.
-
Name Tag: The bottom of the nametag is aligned with the top of the first button; centered on the seam.
-
School Crest: Centered between the second and third buttons, placed on the seam.
-
Ribbons: The bottom of the ribbons is aligned with the top of the first button; center on the seam.
-
Pins: Place between the second and third buttons, centered (left-right) on the seam. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart.
-
JROTC Pin (Officers): Placed diagonally on the upper lapel.
-
Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.
Class B
-
Board Rank: On shoulder tabs.
-
Name Tag: Aligned with the top button and centered on the seam.
-
Ribbons: Aligned with the top button and centered (left-right) on the seam.
-
Star: Centered (left-right) and 1/4 inch above the nametag.
-
Wreath: Centered (left-right) and 1/8 inch above the nametag. The star is placed inside the wreath.
-
School Crest: Centered between the third and fourth buttons and placed on the seam.
-
Pins: Placed between the second and third buttons and centered (left-right) on the seam. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart from the other.
-
Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.
THE MALE JROTC UNIFORM
Requirements

Clean-cut hair cuts, off ears, and collar.
-
A clean-shaved face; mustaches should not be any wider than the width of the mouth.
-
No sideburns.
-
No earrings are worn with the uniform.
-
Only black socks should be worn with the uniform.
-
Allowed only one ring per hand.
Class A
-
Rank: 1/2 inch from the edge of the shoulder seam. Arrows always point towards the collar.

Class B

Name Tags: Centered between the top of the pocket and the pocket button.

Ribbons: Centered on the pocket and stacked up from the top of the pocket.

Star: 1/4 inch above the top of the pocket and centered (left-right) on the pocket.

Wreath: 1/8 inch above the top of the pocket and centered (left-right) on the pocket. The star is worn inside the wreath.

School Crest: Centered (left-right) with the pocket and centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket.

Pins: Centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket. Each pin should be 1/4 inch apart from each other.

Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.
JROTC TABS AND CORDS
Drill Team - Awarded to active drill team members after participation in their first drill meet.
Honor Guard - Awarded to active honor guard members after two honor guard performances.
Color Guard - Awarded to cadets after performing two color guard events
Rifle Team - Awarded to active members of the rifle team after participation in 3 rifle matches.
Orienteering - Awarded to cadets who participate and complete the orienteering course at a leadership camp (JCLC).
Staff - Awarded to the Regimental staff and Battalion Staff cadets.
Drill Team Cord - Awarded to active drill team members after participation in their first drill meet.
National Honor Society - Awarded to cadets who are members of the National Honor Society.
Color Guard Cord - Awarded to cadets after 2 color guard performances.
Honor Guard Cord - Awarded to cadets after 2 Honor Guard Performances.
