Biography: I always had a love of teaching.  Even as a young child, I spent most of my time playing "school" and I was always the teacher.  I grew up in St. Louis and both my parents worked for the SLPS District. I attended St. Elizabeth High School, in South St. Louis.  After graduating from high school and attending college, I entered Corporate America, in the field of marketing and sales.  I worked for several years as an admission representative for a variety of post-secondary institutions.  It was my role to assist high school seniors navigate the college application process, select a program of study, and complete their financial assistance applications. I enjoyed it, but I wanted to be in the classroom.

I began teaching in 2005 at Vashon, and couldn't wish for a better career.  Every day is different, and the students make the job fun. I can truly say I like to come to work!!!  I am proud to work at Vashon High School and be a Wolverine!!!

On a personal level, I am married to my husband, Robert, a chef, and I have one son, Rob.  They, too, are big fans of the Vashon Wolverines!!! My son was such a fan he now teachers here, too! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my three dogs (Boomer, Shadow, and Molly), reading, and hanging with friends at the pool.
