Welcome to ENG 150! I'm Mrs. Caffey, and I'm delighted to have you join my class! As you know, we will be engaging in virtual learning, so we will conduct classes on Micorosoft Teams. Each student has a username and password to log in. Click on the Virtual Learning tab under the menu for instructions on how to login. My email address is listed above. Please email me with questions or for help logging in! I look forward to learning with you this year! All About Mrs. Caffey: I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, IL. There, I fostered a love of reading at a young age. I was homeschooled from 4th-8th grade, and attended my neighborhood high school for 9th grade. I soon transferred and graduated from Northtown Academy, a north side charter school, where I found my passion for teaching. While attending DePaul University in Chicago, I majored in Secondary Education with a concentration in English and Social Sciences. After graduation in 2015, I got married and moved here to St. Louis! I have been teaching English at Roosevelt High School since. I now am the ELA Department Chair, and lead an awesome team of ELA and ESOL teachers! I also lead the professional development cohort, Culturally Responsive Teaching, where I facilitate teachers' learning around culturally responsive instruction. Finally, I own a natural skin-care company, Caffey's Natural Living. I am elated to be your teacher this year!
