Hello, Parents and Students,
“WELCOME” to another wonderful, fun and proud school year in Second Grade! I know that within this past school year using virtual learning has been both, unexpected and challenging for all of us. I want you to know that our present circumstances do not determine where we will go in life; it merely determines where we will start. So, let us start this school year with a positive attitude then work as a team through any challenges that may occur.
I am Ms. Stanton, your second-grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you are excited and eager to learn in second grade, because I am very excited for the privilege to teach you. Our classroom logo is the Proud Eagle. This year we will put an emphasis on being proud of who you are, which includes overcoming challenging circumstances while learning, showing respect for yourself and others while soaring high academically!
A copy of our class logo is enclosed with this letter. I am asking all my proud eagle students to wear the logo attached to their shirt for at least the first week of school. This will help to ensure that all my students will get to the right classroom at the beginning of the school year.
If you ride the bus to and from school, please do not forget to place the bus card in your bookbag.
Parents if you have any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail me at roxanna.stanton@slps.org. No matter what we have to overcome, this school year, we will soar like Eagles and be proud of our accomplishments. I look forward to meeting you soon, please stay safe and healthy.
Your Proud 2nd Grade teacher,
Ms. Stanton
