Hello Nance Family,

 

My name is Barbara Tate-Ward, and I am the Resource Teacher here at Nance.  I'm excited to be that extra support for our students who are eligible to receive services in either Academics or Social areas.  I am an alumnus of SLPS, graduating from Vashon High School.  I completed my undergraduate degree at Missouri Baptist University and obtained my Masters in Deaf Education at Fontbonne University.  As a teacher going into my 11^th year, I can assure you that my goal is to help your students reach their fullest potential and maximize all opportunities for growth both academically and socially. I love reading, writing poetry and singing, and can't wait to share those experiences with my students and learn more about what interests them as well.
