Hello Nance Knights! I’m Ms. Stephens, a 5th-grade teacher at Earl Nance Sr. Elementary School. It is my fervent belief that education is the key to opening all doors! This philosophy is the compass that I use to guide me in this crucial work of educating our children. As a mother, I understand the deep desire for our children to receive the high-quality education they deserve. As a teacher, I’m committed to equipping your scholars with the tools needed to realize even their most ambitious dreams.  It is in this spirit, that I’m honored to partner with you in developing your scholars academically, socially, and emotionally. With the love and support from all of you, I’m certain that this community will not only grow but flourish.

I’m the mother of one son. 

I enjoy live music, especially jazz. 

I’m a lifelong St. Louisan, born and raised in the heart of the city. 

I love puppies and turtles. 

Both of my parents were educators. 

I spend my free time with my family and friends. 

I’m fascinated with history and social sciences.  

I love warm weather, the hotter the better.  

I enjoy reading all genres, but historical fiction is my jam.  

I’m a horror movie buff.  

I spent a summer in Accra, Ghana studying Pan-Africanism.
