Hello Families,

I'm Kathleen Nuebling and I'm so excited to begin our work together in the Vocal Music classroom! This year, I will be leading Beginning, Intermediate, and Concert Choir.  We will work together to create, perform, respond to, and connect through music. We will be creative, patient with each other, communicate, try things outside of the box, and actively engage in the learning process. We will build our confidence, collaboration, and work ethic. Choir will be a rewarding and fun process - but we will put in the work to push each other to be our very best! 

This is my third year as the Choir Director at McKinley and I'm so proud of what we accomplished and grew during the pandemic. I can't wait to continue watching the choir program improve and evolve as we work together. In my own days as a student, I attended Truman State University (Bachelor of Music, 2008) and Washington University in St. Louis (Master of Music, 2013). I began as a Language Arts teacher in North Carolina, and also taught ELA in St. Louis school districts as well. I also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at St. Charles Community College teaching Private Voice Lessons, Music Foundations, American Popular Music, Musical Theater Workshop, and Lyric Diction. I love all aspects of singing and performing and look forward to creating performance opportunities while building on the foundational building blocks of music! 

I live in Webster with my family - my husband, Damon, and two kids, Bailey and Owen. We love our animals - a dog, Pierogi and three fish. Outside of music, I also love gardening, sewing, cooking and baking, spending time with friends and family, seeing live theater, and being outside.
