• Dear McKinley Community, 

     

    Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I am so excited to be working with you and/or your student in English class this year!

    I was born and raised in St. Louis, and am proud to serve my community at this level. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri Columbia (MIZ!) with a degree in English Education.

    My courses (AP Lit, AP Lang, English 4, and American Literature) center around the idea that every person must have the ability to advocate for themselves and for others. By practicing speaking and listening skills, engaging in complex discussions, building mastery as writers, and interacting with diverse and challenging texts, I hope that students will leave my classroom more confident, more empathetic, and more prepared for life beyond high school.
