Meet Ms. Amsler
Hello! My name is Stephanie Amsler, and I am one of the 3rd Grade teachers here at Nance Elementary. This is my 11th year teaching and my 6th year at Nance.
I recently completed my Master's Degree in the area of Elementary Education in May 2024 in addition to completing a Social Justice certificate through the University of Missouri - St. Louis. I believe these degrees have helped me become the best educator I can be for our students at Nance. I am also a member of the National Council of History Education in Missouri through which I am a participant in a grant titled "Amplifying Civil Rights in Education" (ACRE). My participation in this grant gives me access to numerous resources I can use in the classroom with students to teach them about the historical impact of events on our modern-day lives. I look forward to participating in the grant for a second year to gain more knowledge to continue to improve my teaching practices.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I am a homeowner and mother to 3 cats; Tuba, Honey and Poppy. My favorite thing to do is read mystery/thriller books as well as historical fiction and of course, a good romance novel every now and then. I am a fan of reality TV shows and any type of TV show like Dateline or something in the suspenseful mystery category. I love to spend time with my 3 nieces, Charley, Peyton, and Livvy. They bring me so much joy and I love watching them grow and learn new things.
