First 25 years of independent schooling:
Positions at John Burroughs School:
Teacher of history; chair of the History Department, College counselor, Director of Studies, founder of Aim High, sabbatical on Admissions Committee of Columbia University.
Second 25 years in independent schooling:
1. Head of Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville South Carolina; became first K-12 IB school in the country.
2. Head of the American School of Mexico City:
Largest independent school in Latin America;, began conversion from AP to IB.
3. Head of Ransom Everglades School in Coconut Grove, Florida: headed two capital campaigns, one for 25 million and one for 50 million; redesigned and rebuilt middle school; renovated and turfed all athletic facilities; expanded enrollment by 300; 40 percent of senior classes went to Ivies and most selective schools in the country; expanded Breakthrough to 2000
