Dr. Michael Ward
(Retired) Vice Dean for Student Affairs & Diversity at Barnes-Jewish College, Goldfarb School of Nursing and Professor
Dr. Michael Ward became the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Diversity in 2013 after holding the associate dean for student programs and professor position since 2008. Previously, Dr. Ward was assistant dean for administrative and student affairs at Saint Louis University’s Doisy College of Health Sciences. He has held several faculty and leadership positions at Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Dr. Ward also spent more than 20 years as a radiology professional at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. At the end of 2022, after 48 years within the BJC Healthcare System, Dr. Ward retired. He devotes significant time to working on community-related initiatives with his church and serving on the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience Advisory Board.
