    Dr. James Francis is an accomplished educator and leader, renowned for his dynamic approach to teaching and his dedication to fostering a lifelong love of learning in students. With a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Maryville University and a Master’s and Bachelor’s in History from Southeast Missouri State University, he is certified in both Social Studies and Educational Administration.

    Dr. Francis brings a wealth of global experience, having taught and mentored students and educators in diverse environments, including Thailand and Slovakia. His teaching methods incorporate modern technologies and innovative techniques like flipped classrooms and historical simulations, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences.

    Currently a Social Studies teacher at the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience, he has also served as a department head and mentor, developing curricula and leading professional development initiatives. His military service as an Engineer Officer and Mentor in Afghanistan and the Missouri National Guard further highlights his leadership and problem-solving abilities. In addition, he has taught in the Peace Corps in Thailand and taught in Slovakia.
