Meet Dr. Schmidt

I am excited to be begin my 28th year in SLPS and my 7th year here at McKinley!  This year you will find me in room 209, located on the 2nd floor, southeast corner.

Subject(s):

• 9th Grade American History 1877 - Present
• Street Law:  A Course in Practical Law

Hobbies:

• Traveling – I’ve been to over 20 different countries, but 2 of them are no longer countries.
• Reading – Science Fiction / Horror Fiction / Historical Fiction. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman
• Food – Baking, experimental cooking, watching shows about food, and trying different cuisines.

Although I have lived in several different places (Chicago, IL, Osage, IA, Gillette, WY to name a few) St. Louis is the place I call home.  In fact, I live just under a mile from McKinley so you may see me walking to and from school or walking my dog (Woody) around the neighborhood.
