Mrs. Bethany Jasper

My name is Bethany Jasper, and I am a special education teacher at Mullanphy School.  I began working for St. Louis Public Schools at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year with four years of previous teaching experience.  I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University in 2004.  In 2015, I received a Master of Public Administration degree from University of Southern Indiana.   I began teaching in 2005.  After teaching for a couple of years, I decided to change career paths.  I worked for nonprofit organizations for many years and returned to teaching in 2019.  It was the best decision for me.  Teaching is my greatest passion, and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to teach for St. Louis Public Schools.

I have many personal interests.  I am a mother of five children and two step-children.  All of those children are adults, with the exception of my eight-year-old who lives at home.  I have two grandchildren who provide me with more joy than I ever knew was possible.  Lucas and Ezra are 6 and 2, and I love spending as much time as I can with them.  I also enjoy hiking and bike riding.

My first year teaching at Mullanphy School has been a wonderful experience, and I am looking forward to next school year.  I believe it is essential to a student's success for the teacher and parent(s) to work together to support the student.  I am looking forward to getting to know the parents of all my students for the 2022-2023 school year.  The district will be providing a backpack and school supplies for each student this school year.   Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach your children.  I know we are going to have a great year!  Below are some links students might enjoy at home.
