As the Academic Instructional Coach (AIC) for Central Visual and Performing Arts High School (CVPA), I work with teachers to ensure that high-quality teaching and learning occurs in our school every single day.  In my role, I often work with students to improve their learning experience through tutoring, academic counseling and other supporting activities.

I began teaching mathematics at CVPA in the fall of 2005 and during my first five years, I taught Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus.  In the fall of 2010, I transferred to Gateway STEM High School to be their AIC and in 2016, I was able to return to CVPA where I have been ever since.

I earned a Bachelor of Mathematics and a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis (UMSL) and a Masters in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.  In addition, I have certification as a School Psychological Examiner.

In 2022, I was honored by Saint Louis Public Schools as the Support School Leader of the Year.
