  • Lyon Academy is host to both a men's and women's basketball program which begins in early November of each year and ends in late February. Students from grades 6-8 are allowed to try out for a spot on these teams. Practices traditionally take place every Tuesday and Thursday after school and games take place on Saturdays.

Mr. Hinthorne

Coach Hinthorne is the 1st grade teacher at Lyon Academy. He has been teaching at Lyon since 2019 and is a dedicated teacher and coach.

Ms. Wingert

Coach Wingert is currently serving as the 2nd grade teacher for the students at Lyon Academy as well as the Women's Basketball Coach. She has been a teacher at Lyon since the Fall of 2018 and has previous experience serving as the Coach of the Men's Soccer team at our school.
