This course is for students who desire a career in healthcare with a distinct interest in treating or changing the health status of patients over time by helping patients recover, manage a handicap or achieve and maintain an optimal health status.
This course facilitates entry into advanced health occupations programs that require post high school education leading to a state licensure, certification, or registration.
This course will cover health related topics that include theory and hands on discovery of direct and indirect patient care such as: vital signs, safety measures, body mechanics, communication, ethics, health care systems, leadership, professionalism as well as designing personalized career goals and accountabilities.
