Social Worker

  • Hello!
    My name is Ms. Katia Dunn, and I am proud to serve as the Social Worker at Jefferson Elementary. My role is to support students and families by promoting well-being, addressing challenges, and connecting them with the resources they need to thrive.

    I work closely with students, parents, and teachers to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. Whether it’s helping with social-emotional needs, resolving conflicts, or providing referrals for additional services, I’m here to help.

    How I Can Support You:

    • Providing counseling and social-emotional support to students.
    • Helping families connect with community resources for housing, food, and healthcare.
    • Supporting students with strategies to manage stress, emotions, and peer relationships.
    • Collaborating with teachers to create a positive and inclusive school environment.

    • My approach is always focused on building strong, trusting relationships.
